Smu[th] Music’s origins revert back to early 2005 where Washington D.C. based founder, Jav D, began a Digitally Imported radio show. Since its inception, the Smu[th] Music radio show gained great popularity; being syndicated on several different radio stations around the globe. Since then, Jav D envisioned the creation of Smu[th] Music, not only as a radio show, but a record label. And in late 2007 that envision took to true form. Smu[th] Music’s main ideology was to revel in the appropriate treatment of its artists. And, keeping the original ideology in-tact, Smu[th]s Southern California based co-owner and director of A&R, Sharky, implemented a flexible musical directive; providing genre-free electronic dance music to its listeners. Sharky ensures these two main ideologies are kept in mind when objectively choosing music for the label. The Smu[th] sound ultimately consists of innovative, qualitative, fun and danceable electronic dance music that can be enjoyed by trance, techno, house and/or progressive listeners alike.
Rishab Joshi and Prayag Mehta, better known as Rishab vs. Prayag or Lost Stories, have been tearing up dance-floors worldwide with their epic and cutting-edge tunes. They've picked up serious steam with projects on a wide variety of labels, a few being: Black Hole, In Trance We Trust, Appia, Auryn and, yours truly, Smu[th]. Rishab vs. Prayag provide their delightful brand new single, 'Starlight', to Smu[th] and is delivered in a package of three: Lost Stories Rework, Tenthu Remix and the Original Version.
The Lost Stories Rework is designed around their never boring, almost cinematic signature sound; a tight, fun and dynamic progressive trancer. The Original Version, however, is a qualitative trance number designed particularly for peak-time devastation. And lastly, Tenthu, on remix duties, provides a seriously fun and whimsical house-progressive version of 'Starlight'.

"The Lost Stories remix is killer. It's a bit fast and I'm not too keen on the piano, but a simple re-edit will take care of that. That bassline tears." - 4.0 / 5
